Void Hunters is a shared game, and these rules exist so that everyone can play without being cheated, harassed or scammed.
Everything listed below is not allowed, and doing any of it can cost you access to your account. The groups are the ways trouble usually arrives rather than legal categories.
For the full picture, read our Terms of Service — they apply to everyone who plays.
Unfair advantage
- Cheats, exploits, automation tools, bots, hacks, mods and other third-party software used to modify the game or to disrupt how it runs
- Abusing a feature, bug or error instead of reporting it
- Bypassing or altering the game's security measures, or accessing the game other than through the official client
- Reverse engineering any part of the game
Treating other players badly
- Abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or offensive content, including anything that targets race, gender or religion
- Harassment, bullying or humiliation, whether in chat or anywhere else in the game
- Harassment of our team and our support agents
- Persistent toxic behaviour, such as repeatedly posting unsolicited messages
Safety and privacy
- Sharing or asking for personal information — real names, contact details, addresses, social media handles
- Pressuring another player into a private conversation, or into moving somewhere private, after they have said no
- Anything that exploits a child or puts one at risk
Harmful content
- Nudity, extreme violence, offensive themes, or links to that kind of material
- Encouraging or glorifying real-world violence or self-harm
- Promoting or trading drugs, weapons or adult services
Deception and account misuse
- Impersonating another player, a member of our team, or our support
- Scams and phishing — tricking anyone into handing over account details
- Selling, renting, transferring or sharing an account
- Misusing our support service
- Encouraging anyone else to do any of the above
Penalties
Breaking these rules can lead to a penalty on your account: losing access to chat, losing access to parts of the game, a suspension for a period, or a permanent ban, which may also include deleting the account. What we apply depends on what happened and on whether it has happened before.
None of this is here to make the game smaller. It is here so that the time you put in cannot be taken from you by somebody else.
Reporting another player
If someone breaks these rules, report them in the game. Reports come to us, not to the player.
